Grosvenor Sub Committee Meeting

Note: This is the last meeting as a sub committee group during the summer. The Communication Strategy will be Nina, Lisa, Shruti to check in during the summer and email. Lisa to be point person for communication and coordination with Scott.
All Action Item updates should be communicated via email to Grosvenor Committee.
Group to meet and check in after September. Communicate via email.
During the summer TPES will have an office at Piney Branch.
Kindergarten Orientation Re-cap:
Orientation went well. Lots of questions regarding bussing.
Move Communication Within TPES:
Instead of a single TPES meeting communicating the move to Grosvenor, the students are being informed class by class to better answer students’ needs and questions.
BUSING:
Bus routes for out of bound students still needed. Possible that the current schedule stops stay the same besides the end point being at Grosvenor.
Bus times will be coming soon.
Stop Parents:
Use Web site to solicit and organize
Use Dolphin folders, mailing and email to get word out
Start signing up people sooner rather then later.
Aides will probably not be available for busing but transportation does support parents going on buses.
ACTION ITEMS:
1. Lisa to f/u with Scott to provide link to county Web site with current routing information. This should enable a single link to updated and current routing info.
2. Beth to find out when the next iteration and the final iteration of bus times will be released. The info will then be sent to Scott to update Web site and then notify list serve.
3. Shruti to confirm with Zadia what extent faculty will be riding on buses
4. Nina to follow up with Stop Parent organization.
Filed Trips:
We should not refer to Field Trips as Open Houses since that becomes confused with the Back to school Open House
Bells Mills is having a fair on site at Grosvenor on June 5
ACTION ITEMS:
1. Shruti to follow up on when the Field Trip dates are. Then add dates to Web site.
PRE-Move Prep
Packing and Moving: some classes are packed, some classes too overwhelmed to start.
Media is currently being packed up.
ACTION ITEM:
1. Shruti to follow up with Zadia on possibility of a weekend pack-a-thon. Possible dates: June 6-7 or 13-14. Possible evening dates? Email and send in Dolphin request for volunteers once dates and availability of school is set. Question – does Admin need help as well?
SNACKS:
ACTION ITEMS: Shruti to follow up with Zadia about afternoon snacks. Parents should provide snacks in lunches with PTA to provide back up.
CONSTRUCTION:
Giuseppe is new Committee chair.
ACTION ITEMS: Giuseppe to meet with Zadia and coordinate plan of communication. Also – identify critical construction project times and dates.
